History of the Special Air Service
The Special Air Service (SAS) is one of the world’s most recognised special forces units.
David Stirling founded the SAS in 1941 during the Second World War. Initially, the unit conducted daring raids behind enemy lines in North Africa.
Over time, the SAS developed expertise in reconnaissance, counterterrorism and specialist military operations.
Today, the regiment remains an important part of the United Kingdom’s Special Forces.
Its famous motto, “Who Dares Wins,” reflects the courage, determination and professionalism associated with the regiment.

Whether you choose the lapel pin or walking stick mount, this SAS badge makes a thoughtful addition to a military collection.
